Christmas and the Microwave Oven

Over Christmas I did as many people did and visited relatives.  We had the traditional big turkey dinner with all the trimmings and goodies.  Tasted great by the way.  This also resulted in many great leftovers.

The next day for lunch we had leftovers – the leftovers came out and we on the counter and everyone put what they wanted on a plate and put their lunch in the Microwave Oven and a couple of minutes later – magic – hot food for lunch.

So what did we do before the Microwave Oven?  I don’t remember having cold potato’s and gravy.  So what exactly did we do?  How did we heat the food?

And how did we survive without the Dishwasher?  Maybe left the dishes outside for the dogs to lick clean?
